Corupția și anticorupția în Principatele Române: reguli de guvernare (sec. XVII-XIX)- Ovidiu Olar

The present study reflects on the issue of corruption and anticorruption in Early Modern Moldavia and Wallachia. It disagrees with the opinion that corruption was a word without any meaning in the ancient Romanian social, political and juridical vocabulary. Consequently, it argues that corruption mattered; the main sources clearly attest that a multifaceted analysis of the corruption/anticorruption diptych is both possible and fruitful.

Keywords: corruption, anticorruption, Wallachia, Moldavia, networks.
